Hadith 9 - Towards parents/orphan /Mercy of Allah
Subject: The permission of one's Parents
Narrated by Abdullah bin Amr(Radhiallaho anho):
A man said to Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) "Shall I participate in Jihad?" The Prophet said, "Are your parents living?" The man said, "Yes." the Prophet said, "Do Jihad for their benefit."

Subject: Not to abuse one's Parents
Narrated by Abdullah bin Amr(Radhiallaho anho):
Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) said. "It is one of the greatest sins that a man should curse his parents." It was asked (by the people), "O Allah's Apostle! How does a man curse his parents?" The Prophet said, "The man abuses the father of another man and the latter abuses the father of the former and abuses his mother."

Subject: Being undutiful to one's parents
Narrated by Abu Bakra(Radhiallaho anho):
Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) said thrice, "Shall I not inform you of the biggest of the great sins?" We said, "Yes, O Allah's Apostle" He said, "To join partners in worship with Allah; to be undutiful to one's parents." The Prophet sat up after he had been reclining and added, "And I warn you against giving forged statement and a false witness; I warn you against giving a forged statement and a false witness." The Prophet kept on saying that warning till we thought that he
would not stop.

Subject: Having been made wealthy because of kindness to kin
Narrated by Anas bin Malik(Radhiallaho anho):
Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) said, "Whoever loves that he be granted more wealth and that his lease of life be prolonged then he should keep good relations with his kith and kin."

Subject: The superiority of the guardian of an orphan
Narrated by Sahl bin Sad(Radhiallaho anho):
Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) said, "I and the person who looks after an orphan and provides for him, will be in Paradise like this,putting his index and middle fingers together."

Subject: Allah is more merciful to His slaves
Narrated by Umar bin Al Khattab(Radhiallaho anho):
Some Sabi (i.e. war prisoners, children and woman only) were brought before Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam), and behold, a woman amongst them was milking her breasts to feed and whenever she found a child amongst the captives, she took it over her chest and nursed it (she had lost her child but later she found him). The Prophet said to us, "Do you think that this lady can throw her son in the fire?" We replied, "No, if she has the power not to throw it (in the fire)." The Prophet then said, "Allah is more merciful to His slaves than this lady to her son."

Subject: Allah divided Mercy into one hundred parts
Narrated by Abu Huraira(Radhiallaho anho):
I heard Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) saying, Allah divided Mercy into one-hundred parts and He kept its ninety-nine parts with Him and sent down its one part on the earth, and because of that, its one single part, His creations are Merciful to each other, so that even the mare lifts up its hoofs away from its baby animal, lest it should trample on it.
