Sayings of Prohet Muhammad on Ramadhan.

1) The Month of Ramadan

Narrated by Abu Huraira (Radhiallaho anho):
Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam)said, "When the month of Ramadan starts, the gates of the heaven are opened and the gates of Hell are closed and the devils are chained."

Sahih Al-Bukhari Vol. 3 : No. 122


Sis Aisya note: As the devils are chained during this month, without their influence, you will find it easier to perform your ibadah (acts of worship). You can recite the Quran or perform prayers and do not feel sleepy... etc. So if you want to memorise the Qur'an, this is the best time. Or take a course to enrich your knowledge, you'll get double rewards, 1 reward for seeking knowledge is compulsory and it's an ibadah; 2nd rewards from any ibadah done during Ramadhan is rewarded extras.

2) Sahur

Narrated by Anas bin Malik (Radhiallaho anho):
Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam)said, "Take Suhur as there is a blessing in it."

Sahih Al-Bukhari Vol. 3 : No. 146

Sis Aisya note: Even if you do not feel like eating in the morning, at least take 3 dates, for there are blessings in it.

Blessing from: 1) It's Sunnah act to eat date (what Prophet do we follow, gets rewards from Allah); 2) The goodness of dates with the richness in minerals that are good for our body; 3) Three to Seven Dates can maintain your energy level till you break fast in the evening; 4) There are blessings that we do not know that comes from Allah

3) Faith

Narrated by Ibn Umar (Radhiallaho anho):
Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam)said, Islam is based on (the following) five (principles):

• To testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and Muhammad is Allah's Apostle.
• To offer the (compulsory congregational) prayers dutifully and perfectly.
• To pay Zakat (i.e. obligatory charity).
• To perform Hajj (i.e. Pilgrimage to Mecca).
• To observe fast during the month of Ramadan.

Sis Aisya note: These are the 5 article of Faith of Islam. A muslim's IBADAH act. No muslim is excused from performing these acts except one who lost conscious or w/o a sound-mind. If a sound-minded "muslim" says he do not perform any ONE of these act, he is not a true believer. These acts are actually training us to be disciplinery... to have control over our Desire towards laziness, selfishness, stingyness, self-abstain from the temptations. All human are created with desire, at the same time, we are also instilled the fauculty of Mind... to differentiate between what is right and wrong. Besides that, we need guidance from our CREATOR, so 124,000 prophets were sent down in different generations/nations to lead human being to a better person and according to the measure of our Creator. Only 25 prophets were recorded in history and only 5 were given a BOOK (revelation from our Creator). And the book our the last prophet Muhammad is the Qur'an, which until today, it is still in it's original text, of what ALLAH says to mankind! Subhaanallah!

4) Nawafil prayers during the nights of Ramadan

Narrated by Abu Huraira (Radhiallaho anho):
Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam)said, "Whoever establishes prayers during the nights of Ramadan faithfully out of sincere faith and hoping to attain Allah's rewards (not for showing off), all his past sins will be forgiven."

Sahih Al-Bukhari Vol. 1 : No. 36

Sis Aisya note: Allah describe in the Quran al-Baqarah (chap 2) describing the characteristic of a hypocrite. Anyone who perform ibadah without sincerity towards Allah, may not get any rewards except humiliation in the Last Day. Only if we know, the rewards that we can collect from Allah... why would one want to miss out? The greatest reward is Jannah (paradise)!

[ And those who wish for hell-fire did not really know what it is like, no human flesh can stand the heat of our stove fire right... hell-fire is billions times worst (hotter than the sun, human flesh also can't get near the sun in thousand miles)... and the dwellers of hell-fire would be punished as in human form (flesh and blood). All muslims are well-informed, if you are not, seek knowledge is the prophet's advise. Prophet says: "The best of my ummah are those who learn the Qur'an and teach the others."
